So do you only have VHS tapes? Video store = videotapes, right?
No. The majority of our rentals are on DVD and Blu-ray, though we do also rent VHS.
Do you sell videos, or only rent?
We primarily rent, but we do have one shelf with movies for sale.
Are you sure I can't buy one of your rentals?
Extremely sure.
Do you take donations?
We love donations! We rely a lot on donations as we do not have a huge budget with which to buy movies. We take anything and everything. All formats are welcome.
Do you buy movies?
See above answer. We can't say we never buy movies but It depends entirely on what the titles are. Feel free to email photos of the spines to rentals@futureshockvideo.biz so that we can look them over and determine their value.
Please do not be disappointed if we cannot offer you much. Not all movies are worth money -- in fact very few of them are. If we buy a movie it's because we really want it as a rental or we know we can resell it, but most only re-sell for a few dollars. If you possess a movie that we know is actually worth a lot money, we will be honest about that fact.

Are my Disney tapes worth anything?
Probably not. There are some exceptions such as banned/extremely rare titles so feel free to do your own research, but the idea of the "Black Diamond" editions being worth thousands of dollars was just an internet hoax. In reality Disney made so many of them that they're worth about 75 cents.
Do you know where I can get a VCR?
We usually have a few for sale at any given time. We also repair and refurbish them so if you find one at a thrift store/estate sale/facebook marketplace we can get it in working order if needed.
Do you know where I can get a CRT TV?
We have them every once in a while, but we usually send people to our friend Eli who refurbishes them. You can find his TVs listed on facebook marketplace or email him at elikrause@pm.me
Do they still make DVD players?
Yes. DVDs themselves are still the the most commonly produced video media, outselling Blu-ray and 4K. But we usually recommend getting a Blu-ray player so that you can play both DVDs and Blu-rays. We have a lot of great movies on Blu-ray!
Do you have any movies in 4K Ultra High Definition?
We have a few that were donated or came in a Blu-ray/4K combo pack, but if given the choice we stick to DVD or Blu-ray because they are more accessible to the average renter. We're happy to accept them as donations though.
